United States Protective Services security officers are all licensed by the state of Texas and many possess law enforcement and military experience. Our officers have extensive training and are continually working to keep up to date with the latest techniques in the security field. USPS officers include unarmed (non-commissioned), armed (commissioned) patrol, or plainclothes officers 24/7. USPS officers undergo a comprehensive pre-employment background screening and training.

We hold classes for training and advancement every month. United States Protective Services wants to offer as many opportunities to keep the community safe. While making our dispatch center readily available to the customers 24/7, we also provide events during the week for officers to become certified in all areas. We offer classes giving you the chance to become certified in Level II, Level III, Level IV, O.C, and more. Check out our calendar to see which classes work for you.

We do not depend on other institutions to train our personnel; we have our own fully licensed academy F10477801 lead by our own certified instructors, enabling us to regulate and monitor the quality of the training programs for the personnel who represent us in the field. The services of our academy are available to all who qualify, even if they are not a part of the United States Protective Services Family.

This field-level certification program is designed to acquaint participants with operational use of the ASP Tactical Baton, Tactical Restraints and/or Performance Flashlights. The training includes basic portation (carrying) and presentation (drawing) techniques as well as defensive application procedures. Certification acknowledges that the individual officer met a competency-based standard of knowledge and performance.
All students must complete all hours of classroom not including range proficiency in order to receive their certificate. Re-Certification/Firearms proficiency will be scheduled on classroom and Instructor availability. Contact USPS training department to find out availability and times!
